Paragon Java Bean Demo Applets
Note: In order to view Process data in JavaBean components,
you need a direct connection to the Internet, such as a dial- up modem connection. If you access the Internet from
behind a firewall you probably will not have access to the port used by Java Server to send process data.

The Tank Farm Demo Applet uses the Paragon Bar Chart Bean. The BarChart Bean consists of a vertical or
horizontal bar and an optional scale. Most of the BarChart's attributes are configurable including colors, fonts,
bar width, orientation, fill direction, raised/recessed, etc. The bar is connected to a real-time Paragon application
value using a tag browser at design time. Paragon JServer updates the bar automatically as the value changes. Update
rates can be achieved as fast as 100 milliseconds but typically are 1-2 seconds.
The Remote Trend Demo Applet uses the Paragon Trend Bean. The plot pen is connected to a Paragon Data Manager
History function that is acchiving data from a continuos Strategy process. Since the data is time stamped, the
the PC viewing the trend data must have the same system time as the remote Paragon station.
The Remote Set Point Demo Applet uses 2 Paragon Meter Beans, a Data Entry Bean and a String Bean. The data Entry
Bean is connected to the setpoint element of a PID controller. One of the meter beans displays the current set
point, the other the measured process variable.
